Shillong Cherrapunji Dawki Guwahati Tour

Today after breakfast we will explore the base of the hillock, you will be able to see the clouds as a vast spread of a white sea floating endlessly over the beautiful green hills and the valley. At the horizon, especially, it will be a sight to behold. The scenic beauty of Nonjrong is so mesmerizing, making you forget all your worries for a while and giving you a rejuvenating experience. After breakfast excursion to Mawsynram (60 kms / 2 hrs drive – oneway). Mawsynram of Meghalaya is located at a distance of 85 kms from Shillong. This place is famous for the gigantic formation of stalagmite. Later drive for Mawphlang sacred forest. Nothing is allowed to be removed from the forest as it may upset the deity. Later return to Shillong. Evening free for leisure. Overnight at Shillong.

Wake up early and have your breakfast and drive to Amkoi Sliang Wah Umngot, also known as the Amkoi Hanging Bridge, is a fascinating attraction near Dawki in Meghalaya. This hanging bridge spans across the Umngot River Mawlynnong. Today you can explore the cleanest village Mawlynnong in the world. You can take the sky walk. Spectacular view of the living Root Bridge. After lunch drive to Dawki. Dawki is the gateway to Bangladesh where major export and import transactions take place. it is a splendid drive of 45 kilometres passing through deep gorges and ravines, which is certainly a thrilling experience. On approaching Dawki is the Umngot river, he Umngot river is the natural bound0ary between Ri Pnar or Jaintia Hills with Hima Khyrim of Khasi hills over which is a single span suspension bridge was constructed. Later drive to Cherrapunje. Overnight at Cherrapunji.

Morning after breakfast explore Cherrapunji which is famed for being the wettest place in the world. Cherrapunji possesses some exotic waterfalls and impressive limestone caves. Visit the Nohkalikai Falls, Seven sister falls , Mawsmai Caves, Eco Park, Dainthlen Fall, Arwah cave, Garden cave. Overnight at Cherrapunji.

Today after breakfast, start hiking for double decker living root bridge. This will be a whole day excursion. The trek takes nine hours involving a walk downhill 2,500 ft and up. Total distance of 25 km (approx) from Cherrapunji Holiday resort of which 10 km is by a beautiful mountain skirting road commanding a beautiful view of the valley and through three colourful Khasi villages. Overnight at Cherrapunji.

Wake up early & leave for Guwahati. 5 hrs. drive. Arrive afternoon.

Evening River Cruise on the mighty river Brahmaputra. Later explore local market in Guwahati. Overnight at Guwahati.

After breakfast Check out from the hotel and transfer to Guwahati Airport drop for the onward journey.
